What We Assess

A Proper Musculoskeletal Assessment

Most orthopedic pain gets labelled too fast. A proper assessment looks at the whole kinetic chain — not just where it hurts — so the right tissue is loaded, the right muscle is strengthened and the problem does not come back.

Full Clinical Examination

Movement patterns, range of motion, strength, special tests and provocation tests — the foundation of accurate diagnosis.

Biomechanical Analysis

Gait, posture, muscle balance and movement quality — because pain in one area is often driven by weakness or stiffness elsewhere.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

EULAR-certified point-of-care ultrasound when needed to see tendons, muscles and joints in real time — and guide injections accurately.

Functional Testing

Objective strength, hop performance and agility tests to measure recovery and clear you back to full activity safely.

Previous Treatment Review

What has been tried, what worked, what did not — so the plan builds on evidence instead of repeating what failed.

Personalised Plan

A clear, measurable plan with milestones at each stage — pain, loading, strength, function, return — explained in plain language.

Treatment Approach

Specialist Orthopedic Rehabilitation

Evidence-based, non-surgical treatment that progresses with you — pain control first, then loading, strength and function, then confident return to sport, work or daily life.

Loading & Rehabilitation

Graded exercise therapy for tendon, muscle and joint problems — the foundation of lasting recovery.

  • Review of current painkillers and medications
  • Nerve-pain and muscle-pain targeted options
  • Clear instructions on what, when and how long
  • Follow-up to adjust the plan as pain improves

Ultrasound-Guided Injections

Precise joint, bursa and tendon injections — fast, lasting relief without surgery, always alongside rehabilitation.

  • Joint and soft-tissue injections
  • Trigger-point injections for muscle pain
  • Nerve blocks for radiating pain
  • Done safely with image guidance when needed

Bracing, Orthotics & Taping

Functional bracing, foot orthotics and taping to protect healing tissue and prevent recurrence.

  • Posture correction and ergonomic advice
  • Strength and mobility programme
  • Supervised exercise where needed
  • Return-to-work and return-to-sport goals

Post-Operative Rehab

Structured protocols from day 1 to full return — after ACL, rotator cuff, joint replacement and spine surgery.

  • Sleep & stress strategies
  • Activity pacing to avoid flare-ups
  • Nutrition and weight guidance where relevant
  • Tools to manage pain between appointments

Lifestyle & Prevention

Workplace ergonomics, training load management and prehab programmes — so the next injury does not happen.

  • Diagnoses radiculopathy, neuropathy, carpal tunnel
  • Measures nerve function objectively
  • Guides whether surgery is really needed
  • Clear results explained in plain language
How We Help

How We Help You Recover

From the first consultation to a confident return to your activities — a clear, four-step rehabilitation pathway built around real-life goals.

01

Specialist Assessment

Full examination, biomechanical analysis and ultrasound where helpful — so the diagnosis and the plan are built on what is actually happening.

02

Pain Control & Loading

Early pain management combined with the right exercises — not rest and hope. Loading is adjusted so the tissue heals under safe stress.

03

Strength & Function

Progressive strength, movement quality and sport- or job-specific work — bridging the gap between no-pain and ready-to-perform.

04

Return & Prevention

Objective testing before full return to sport or work — plus a maintenance plan so the injury does not come back.

Frequently Asked

Frequently Asked Questions

Clear answers to the questions patients ask most about joint and sports injuries, rehabilitation and booking with Dr. Sana Arshad.

Do I need surgery for my injury?

Most orthopedic and sports injuries respond well to specialist rehabilitation without surgery. Surgery becomes a serious option when there is a mechanical block (locked knee, complete tendon rupture, unstable joint), after failed structured rehab, or where imaging and examination both support it. You will get an honest opinion either way.

How long will my rehabilitation take?

Timelines depend on the injury and your goals. Simple muscle strains and tendinopathies: 4–8 weeks of structured rehab. Shoulder or knee rehab after injury: 2–4 months. Post-surgical rehab (ACL, rotator cuff): 4–9 months to full return to sport. We set measurable milestones at each stage so you can see progress.

Do you treat sports injuries in young athletes?

Yes. Growing athletes have specific issues (Osgood-Schlatter, Sever disease, growth-plate injuries, overuse) that need age-appropriate assessment and loading. Return-to-play decisions are based on objective testing, not just time passed.

Can you do ultrasound-guided injections?

Yes, where clinically indicated. Dr. Sana Arshad is EULAR-certified in musculoskeletal ultrasound and performs guided joint, bursa and tendon injections. Injections are part of a wider rehabilitation plan — never used on their own.

What about back pain — do I need an MRI?

Not always. Most mechanical back pain is diagnosed clinically and improves with specialist rehab. MRI is used when there is nerve root pain, red-flag symptoms, or when a specific surgical question needs answering — not as a first step for every ache.

Can I see you after knee or shoulder surgery?

Yes. Post-operative rehabilitation is critical for a good outcome after ACL reconstruction, meniscus surgery, rotator cuff repair, shoulder stabilisation and joint replacement. We follow the surgeon’s protocol and progress you through strength, movement and sport-specific stages.

Do I need a referral to book?

No referral is required. You can book directly — WhatsApp or call +92 316 6444102, or use the booking details on this page.

Where is the clinic and how do I book?
